1st make sure you have plenty of poker chips, snacks and beer!
Each player shall buy-in for the same amount. In this case will use a $25.00 as the example. Distribute poker chips evenly so no one runs out, unless they get toasted and bet foolishly. Set the value of the chips, example (White $5.00, Red $10.00, Blue $25.00, Black $100.00) try to have enough to equal at least $800.00 in ‘chip’ value. Set the table stakes, in this case will use $25.00 a round, last rnd. $50.00 Establish a quitting time ( this tend to make non players, wives, girl friends etc., happy and makes your head feel better the next day. Make sure no one drives home drunk, we want to live too play again!
The Play
If your playing a variety of games try this. ‘Round +1' Once you determine whose to start the deal. Dealer antes for all players, in this case $5.00 chip per person. Dealer calls their game of choice, you then continue to play the same game back the original dealer who plays it one more time. The deal is then pasted and you start the process over. We have found this keeps you from getting little bald spots trying to figure out a new game after each hand.
Rules (optional)
No wild card games allowed with the exception of a joker added for aces, straights or flushes. If per chance the deck exhausts its’ self discards will be re shuffled to make it up.
Penalties (Build on these if you dare, they tend to become as much fun as the game itself!)
$5.00 chip for forgetting to ante. $5.00 chip for chip rolling into another players tray $5.00 chip for misdeal $5.00 chip for not asking for the cut. $10.00 chip for discussing your cards (saying what you have or had) whether your in or out. $10.00 chip for betting or folding out of turn. $25.00 chip for spilling drink.
Pay-outs (remembering this is a friendly game, $25.00 is the most you can lose for a night of fun in this case)
Players must have more chips than they started with to be in the pay-out.
Example Six players: 1st. $70.00 2nd. $50.00 3rd. $30.00 Seven players 1st. $80.00 2nd. $60.00 3rd. $35.00 Eight players 1st. $80.00 2nd. $60.00 3rd. $35.00 4th. $25.00
Bear in mind in this format there are a lot of variables, you’ll need to determine the pay-out schedule before the game
Amenities
Bring your own drinks and favorite hors-d’oeuvres or snack. If more is necessary order pizza. It is customary to leave the left over snacks, beer whatever for the host, for it is they who have to clean up the mess the next day!
